The Alberta Chapter of the CSMTA is proudly hosting this year’s Educational Conference and AGM in Edmonton October 22-24, 2010.
We want this to be the biggest and best CSMTA conference ever and we really need a large participation from our members to make that become a reality! It will be an excellent educational experience with several outstanding topics to choose from and we have added in some socializing time as well. Start planning ahead now so that you will be able to participate in this event this fall.

CSMTA New Bylaws Approved
The new CSMTA Bylaws, that were reviewed and voted on by the CSMTA membership at the 2009 AGM, have been approved by the Federal Government. This is the last stage of approvals needed and now all CSMTA documents and forms will be updated to reflect the changes. This includes the renewal and new membership forms. We ask for your patience while this is being completed.
In the coming weeks, you will receive an updated copy of the Bylaws by e-mail. You will also have a brief period of time to request a written copy from the National Office.
The main changes pertain to membership categories. Specifically, there is no longer a “Level” system. Level I and Level II have now been combined into a simpler “Certification Canadidate Member”. You’ll also note that there is no longer a 5 year deadline to complete the certification program.”
